A partnership of Kennedy Heights Arts Center and Cincinnati Public Schools, The Cincinnati Jazz Academy is dedicated to providing high-quality, barrier-free jazz education to underserved students.

Our Vision

The Cincinnati Jazz Academy strives to be a national leader in community-based jazz education, fostering the next generation of talented musicians and creating a lasting impact on students, families, and the Cincinnati community.

Through daily group instruction, weekly private lessons, dynamic performances, and guest artist workshops, we empower students to develop their creative potential. By removing financial and logistical barriers, we ensure that every student has the opportunity to grow and thrive in a supportive musical environment.

The Cincinnati Jazz Academy is supported by grants from the Manuel D. and Rhoda Mayerson Foundation, Louise Dieterle Nippert Musical Arts Fund Foundation, National Endowment for the Arts, Activities Beyond the Classroom, and private donors.
