CPS International Jazz Festival

The 5th annual CPS International Jazz Festival, hosted by Activities Beyond the Classroom, featured 170 Cincinnati Jazz Academy student musicians as well as nationally acclaimed jazz artists Camille Thurman (tenor saxophone) and Tanya Darby (trumpet).
This year’s Jazz Fest showcased a world-premiere composition piece created specifically for our talented Jazz Academy students by Dr. Isidore Rudnick; and performances by four CJA Jazz Orchestras, under the direction of Dr. Rudnick, Myles Twitty, and Mason Daughtery.

Join us as we celebrate the remarkable career and retirement of Dr. Isidore Rudnick.
A passionate educator, visionary arts administrator, and tireless advocate, Dr. Rudnick has served as Artistic Director of the School for Creative and Performing Arts, Fine & Performing Arts Curriculum Manager for Cincinnati Public Schools, and Co-Founder and Director of the Cincinnati Jazz Academy—touching the lives of thousands of students and inspiring generations through the power of the arts.
The evening includes: dinner and drinks; a special program with testimonials from colleagues, students, and community leaders; and live performances by the talented students of the Cincinnati Jazz Academy.
Come share your appreciation, memories, and well wishes as we honor Dr. Rudnick’s legacy and enduring impact on our community.
There is no cost to attend, but space is limited. Guests are invited to make an optional donation to the Cincinnati Jazz Academy fund in Dr. Rudnick's honor.
